Access to the www.klandskills.ca, content and content design is provided on the understanding that users have read and are willing to abide by the following set of Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions are designed to make it clear to users of this site what they may and may not do with the content provided to them through their use of this site.

Kingston Literacy & Skills’ aim has been to make the Terms and Conditions as unambiguous as possible, but if further explanation is required, please send an email with your questions.

Terms & Conditions

These are the Terms and Conditions on which access is provided to users of this site. Users will be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions upon their first use of the site. Users are granted the non-exclusive and non-transferable right to access this site.

The www.klandskills.ca website contains copyrighted information, communications, software (including program code which may execute on the server or which may be embedded in or downloadable from individual pages on this site), images, sounds, music, graphics, photos, videos and other material and services (collectively, the “Content”).

Prohibited Use

Systematic downloading and/or archiving, including the copying of the entire site, or of more than one copy of a page, electronic or otherwise, is prohibited. Users wishing to re-use the site for other purposes shall first contact Kingston Literacy & Skills to obtain written permission. No portion of the Content may be used for the purpose of monetary reward by means of sale, resale, loan, transfer, hire or other form of exploitation of the copyrighted Content or products, and may not be systematically supplied or distributed onward from the site of the User.

Permitted Use

The User may make unlimited online use of the copyrighted Content or products for the purposes of research and personal use (but not for commercial use – see “Prohibited Use” above) including searching, displaying and viewing on-screen, and may download, print or e-mail retrieved Content.


Kingston Literacy & Skills shall use reasonable efforts to allow for the site to be available on a 24 hour basis, but if access is suspended or interrupted or a fault or defect occurs which prevents access to the server, it shall neither have nor incur any liability. The User is responsible for all charges associated with accessing the Content, including those respecting computer equipment, telephone or Internet connections and access software. Kingston Literacy & Skills reserves the right to refuse access to the Content to any individual, network or User at any time.

Governing Laws and Jurisdiction

Control of this website rests with Kingston Literacy & Skills in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. The user agrees that the applicable laws of the Province of Ontario, and of Canada, govern this agreement, notwithstanding any conflict of laws, provisions or the user’s domicile, residence or physical location. By accessing this site, the user agrees that any legal matter that may arise between the user and Kingston Literacy & Skills relating to the contents of the website shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the user agrees that the appropriate court(s) in the Province of Ontario shall have the exclusive jurisdiction to resolve disputes between the user and provider.
